Abstract

Cedera dan disfungsi endotel merupakan kejadian yang mendasari patogenesis proses aterosklerosis, sehingga pemahaman terhadap mekanisme yang dapat mem-pertahan-kan maupun mengembalikan fungsi endotel tersebut mempunyai implikasi klinis yang penting.
Selain itu, tingkat kejadian gagal jantung kronis sebagai akibat penyakit jantung koroner masih tetap tinggi. Penyelamatan miokard dengan terapi perfusi dini terbukti dapat menurunkan angka mortalitas, namun gagal jantung pasca infark miokard akibat remodeling ventrikel masih menjadi masalah yang belum terpecahkan sepenuhnya.
